Open Community License
Unless an individual file or component is expressly marked otherwise, original Picapot materials are made available under the Open Community License version 1.1 (OCL v1.1) with the General Attribution add-on version 1 (GAtt v1).
These materials include original software and firmware, schematics, PCB layouts, Gerber and manufacturing files, bills of materials, mechanical drawings, enclosure designs, labels, documentation, and related editable source files.
Under OCL v1.1, non-commercial end users may use, copy, study, construct, modify, repair, and experiment with Picapot and its covered components. For the avoidance of doubt, the licensor expressly permits non-commercial end users to manufacture and replicate physical Picapot products from the covered materials for their own personal, non-commercial use. If covered materials, modifications, or derivatives are distributed, they must remain under OCL v1.1 + GAtt v1 and retain the required creator identification in a reasonable and customary manner.
The required attribution should identify Fabrizio Ranieri as the original creator, refer to the Picapot project and www.picapot.com, and identify the applicable licence as OCL v1.1 + GAtt v1, to the extent reasonably practicable.
Commercial manufacture or sale of Picapot products, covered components, or derivatives is not authorised by this public licence. This includes commercially selling PCBs, kits, sensors, assembled products, or modified versions based on the covered materials. A separate written business licence or other prior written permission from the licensor is required. Commercial licensing enquiries may be submitted through the Contact page.
The licence permits the internal use and modification described for commercial business users in the official OCL v1.1 text, including internal production, subject to all applicable licence conditions. The official OCL v1.1 and GAtt v1 texts govern if this summary differs from them.
Third-party components, libraries, software, firmware, images, trademarks, and other materials remain subject to their respective licences and rights and are not relicensed under OCL v1.1 + GAtt v1. The Picapot name, logo, project identity, and domain name are not licensed for use as trademarks or as an indication that a modified or independently distributed product is an original or officially endorsed Picapot product.
Privacy, Cookies and Data-Protection Rights
Fabrizio Ranieri is the data controller for this website. The contact form processes your name, email address, subject, and message only to handle and reply to your enquiry, based on our legitimate interest or on steps taken at your request. Technical logs and strictly necessary cookies may also be used to operate and secure the website.
Providing information through the contact form is voluntary, but its required fields are necessary for us to receive and respond to your enquiry. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to reply.
