Sunfy328 controls one normally closed (NC) 12V solenoid valve for a maximum of 23-28 Watt (depending by the used power supply).
Consider that a standard 12V solenoid valve, for domestic use (1/2 inch pipes, 12L x min), needs around 10-15 Watt.
This type of valve is called ‘normally closed’ because when no current flows in the solenoid, the pressure of the water (and the gravity) push down the plunger inside the valve closing the water. Instead, when current is provided, the solenoid produces an electromagnetic field that pulls up the metallic plunger opening the water.
An arrow mark on the valve indicates the mandatory flow direction of the water inside the valve that must be installed accordingly to it. On the upstream side of the valve (where water enters), should be present a strainer or a Y filter to prevent impurities from blocking the internal plunger.
